THE BLUE MOUNTAINS GRAMMAR SCHOOL – DEVELOPMENT CONTROL MASTER PLAN.
Blue Mountains Grammar School
Alexander and Lloyd had been carrying out small refurbishment projects for this school for a number of years while the school was administered by the Council of the King’s School. When the school became autonomous with its own Board of Governors, the practice was invited to prepare a Master Plan for the future development of the school’s limited site in Wentworth Falls.
Following the educational and curriculum input from the school and planning limitations to be exercised by the local council a Master Plan was submitted which contained a number of recommendations, including:
- Purchase of adjacent site for a new Junior School,
- Revision of internal vehicle and pedestrian access,
- Construction of a new Library and Science Building within the existing academic precinct.
Alexander and Lloyd then designed and built the recommended facilities in accordance with the Master Plan.
